Welcome To Plathville

Welcome to Plathville Season 7 Set to Be the Most Explosive Yet – Major Cast & Storyline Shakeups Ahead! 🔥

Welcome to Plathville season 7 is poised to be the best season 7 yet as cast and storyline shakeups will be included. Welcome to Plathville premiered on TLC in 2019. Parents Kim and Barry Plath have 10 children (one deceased and one not appearing on the show), and they raised their children in an ultra-conservative and fundamentalist lifestyle on a Cairo, Georgia, farm. While the show initially endeavored to cover that lifestyle, the show has become more about the ever-changing family dynamics, as the older Plath children move out and pushback and grapple with their upbringing.

Ethan, Micah, Moriah, and Lydia Plath are the four oldest children, and have moved out of the house, while Isaac, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy are a part of the show as well. Kim and Barry announced their divorce in 2022 after 24 years of marriage, and their co-parenting lives as well as their relationships with their children have also been a main focus. Ethan’s now ex-wife, Olivia Plath, had a huge presence in WTP, but she has moved on since their split. With so many moving parts in the family, there are signs season 7 will be massively entertaining.

Welcome To Plathville Season 6 Ended On A Cliffhanger

Which Makes WTP Season 7 Highly Anticipated

Welcome to Plathville season 6 ran from July 2024 to early October 2024, and followed the Plaths as several members were going through major transitionary periods. Oldest Plath brother, Ethan, had split from his wife, Olivia Plath, in season 5, and season 6 was about him coming to terms with signing the divorce papers. When presented with them initially, Ethan didn’t feel ready to sign them, but ultimately signed his name. He and Olivia had been married since 2018, and split because of their differing desires for the future.

Kim and Barry were working on co-parenting, but were battling out their divorce behind the scenes. They could not agree on a financial split, and are reportedly still not divorced. Kim introduced her boyfriend, Ken Palmer, in season 5, and Ken and Barry met officially for the first time when Ken came on a family trip to support Moriah and a concert she was putting on in Florida. Second-oldest brother, Micah, left his playboy lifestyle in Los Angeles to settle down with his girlfriend of one year, Veronica Peters, in her home in South Florida.

Micah was wrestling with the idea of proposing to Veronica, who was ready to get engaged yesterday. Ethan and Kim made headway towards repairing their relationship after years of mistrust and resentment on Ethan’s part towards her. The Plath family, minus Kim, all took part in a Spartan Race, and the main storyline of the season revolved around Moriah, which left viewers on a cliffhanger. Moriah was reeling from a recent heartbreak, and made a song, “Devil in a Suit and Tie,” about her toxic relationship.

It was revealed that Moriah was mistreated in that relationship by way of gaslighting, disrespect, and lies.

However, in the Welcome to Plathville season 6 finale, Moriah shocked her entire family when she disclosed that she had gotten back with her toxic ex, now known to be Tampa-based musician, Matthew Craven. The whole family was up in arms about Moriah’s decision, and Barry and Kim were gearing up to talk to Matthew and Moriah together. Now, season 7 is highly anticipated due to the cliffhanger and evolving Plath dynamics.

Ethan Will Introduce His New Girlfriend

A new Cast Member Could Enter Welcome To Plathville

Another huge reason why Welcome to Plathville season 7 will be the best yet is because Ethan has a new woman in his life. For the 2025 new year, Ethan hard-launched his new mystery girlfriend on his Instagram. Since he isn’t shying away from going public, it is more than likely Ethan’s girlfriend will be a part of the season.

Ethan has been criticized for his traditional views on relationships and gender roles, so it will be interesting to see if Ethan’s girlfriend can live up to his standards. Not only that, but the way the new woman in Ethan’s life will blend with his opinionated family will give a lot of insight. Since Olivia had such a terrible fall from grace with the Plaths, Ethan’s new girlfriend will be put to the test.

Family Division Could Be A Theme In Season 7

The Plaths Aren’t The Family Unit They Used To be

The older Plath children rebelled a lot against the strict confines and rules Kim and Barry put on them. Since Kim and Barry have loosened the reigns, there has been more growth among the kids in the family, but Kim and Barry are who they are and do have three more minor children in their care. Amber was showing signs of burgeoning in season 6, and it will be notable to see how she grows in season 7. Then there’s the issue of Moriah. Her siblings were not okay with her relationship, and viewers still don’t know how Kim and Barry will handle Moriah’s relationship.

Lydia Plath, the most pious Plath child, is also married now, so her relationship journey would be great to watch, since she was newly single in season 6. Welcome to Plathville season 7 will serve viewers with a different look at the Plath family structure.

With new relationships entering the dynamic and old connections changing form, season 7 will not be disappointing.

The Plaths are not the same family unit they used to be, and this new direction of division amidst their consistent drive to spend time with each other will be an interesting narrative arc over the season.

Olivia Could Be Absent From Season 7

Which Is For The Best At This Point

With the introduction of Ethan’s new girlfriend, she can take Olivia’s place on the show. Olivia no longer has ties to the Plath family, and her exit from Welcome to Plathville would make sense. Olivia’s harsh takes, directness, and disdain for the Plath family were interesting to watch, but other cast members can prove to be just as entertaining. The hit TLC show is not officially confirmed for season 7, but there is every reason to believe it will premiere closer to summer 2025.
