General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will Sonny Ask Jason To Take Over His Business If John Succeeds In Putting Him Behind Bars?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) may have sunk his leverage with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), but that doesn’t mean he won’t eventually obtain credible evidence that puts Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) behind bars.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: John May Fabricate Evidence Against Sonny
John has proven himself to be insufferable and relentless in his pursuit to entrap the mob boss, and he will stoop to unfathomable lows to do so if need be.
Another more complicated factor is that John knows through Ava Jerome (Maura West) that Sonny is off his bipolar meds. He could easily use that as an angle to get Sonny to break and either attack him or make a foolish decision.
John is known for working outside the confines of the law to get what he wants, no matter what he has to do. He has no true moral code, especially when it comes to Sonny.
It’s not hard to imagine he could fabricate evidence or investigate Sonny’s business. He doesn’t care whether he follows proper procedure or not.
The other factor is that Sonny isn’t thinking clearly right now. He’s suffering from a major mental health crisis due to first Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and now Ava tampering with his medicine. He may even make a careless mistake with his business that could cost him his freedom.
John may stumble upon paydirt soon; when that day comes, he won’t hesitate to take Sonny down. That leaves Sonny’s business vulnerable to a mafia takeover.
Sonny may have no choice but to ask the one person that, deep down, he knows he can count on the most to look after his empire while he cannot.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Can Count On Jason
No matter how much Sonny may not want to admit it right now, that person is Jason. Sonny thought Jason was working as an FBI informant to take him down. He didn’t understand that this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Recently, Sonny discovered John’s plot to coerce Jason into being an FBI informant, or Sonny’s baby mama, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), would be charged with RICO violations. Carly would have wound up in prison. That’s something Jason couldn’t live with.
Jason cooperated, but John wasn’t prepared to release him. He would have used Jason to get to Sonny, but we all know that plan failed miserably. So now John’s getting desperate.
Sonny knows that the reason that John’s after him isn’t purely altruistic. Instead, it’s all about a thirty-year-long vendetta.
Sonny was the only one in the courtroom who wasn’t celebrating when the judge dismissed Carly’s case because he knew that John won’t stop there. He’ll continue to seek out ways to get to Sonny.
John offered to set Jason and Carly free if Jason gave him incriminating information about Sonny, but Jason was far too loyal to Sonny to even consider that.
Sonny soon realizes, with or without his medicine, that Jason can be trusted. Jason protected the mother of Sonny’s child. That should count for something.
Sonny needs to remember that if there’s anyone he can depend on, whether it involves business or family, it’s Jason.
