Ryan Chamberlain — aka the twin brother of Kevin Collins — was the man with nine lives  during his tenure on General Hospital. Jon Lindstrom’s character first “died” in an explosion on March 24, 1995, but no one is ever dead in daytime, are they? He returned in 2018 only to play the presumed-dead-but-actually-alive game for several years until Mac Scorpio shot him dead in 2023. Is there a chance that Ryan has one more life left in him, and Lindstrom could play double-duty yet again?

Well, we had to ask the man himself to see if he had any thoughts about Ryan suddenly reappearing, even though it seemed like the last death was the character’s final spin around Port Charles. “You know, I died 25 years ago, so I just don’t know,” he says to Soaps.com about his alter ego’s resurrection. “I mean, they kind of went out of their way to make sure [this time around] that we all saw him dead in the body bag. Kevin could see him, and Felicia could see him, and Mac could see him. We could all get our eyeballs on dead Ryan.”

OK, Ryan does seem pretty dead — like dead, dead this time, but Lindstrom entertained our question a bit further. “Having said that, I don’t know how it could be done now, but if anything, daytime writers are an incredibly creative and resourceful bunch,” he ponders the idea. “So, if there’s a will, there will be a way. They will be able to figure that out. It won’t be up to me; I can tell you that.” But if the writers figure out a storyline of how to get Ryan back from the dead, does that mean that Lindstrom is game to tackle the role again? Well, we also have your answer to that question!

“If they want to, I can tell you that I would jump in right away,” he says confidently. That’s exactly the answer we wanted to hear. Now, we just have to hope someone over at ABC is looking for a despicable and psychotic serial killer to make a return to daytime — we’ve got the perfect person for you!
