Steffy Forrester has a tough week ahead as her arch-nemesis, Sheila Carter, is free as a bird, and Finn’s wife will not take it well at all. This is Belinda from Soap Dirt, and we’re going to talk about the hard hits that Steffy takes in the next few days and how this could rock her once solid marriage.
Steffy is being driven crazy by three women: Sheila Carter and the dynamically irritating mother-daughter duo of Brooke and Hope Logan. The psycho Sheila bombshell pushes Steffy to the brink. On a recent Bold episode, Finn was with Hope Logan, who was busily trying to seduce him, when he got a text from his stepdad, Deacon Sharpe, saying, “Oh, by the way, Sheila’s loose.”
Finn pompously told Deputy Chief Baker to take Sheila away like he was the top cop of the LAPD, but Baker walked away with Sheila despite zero evidence pointing to her in the deaths of Tom or Hollis. There’s evidence that both men overdosed from the same drug, but the police have no physical evidence tying their deaths to Sheila. The only evidence against her is her bad reputation.
When Hope asked Finn how he felt about Sheila’s release, he admitted he was relieved and couldn’t think of any reason for her to kill Tom or Hollis. He even said he didn’t want Sheila to be guilty of these crimes. Finn then goes to the CEO office to give Steffy the update about his bio mom. If Liam is still there, the good doctor won’t be happy. Steffy has been imagining Sheila getting a life sentence or the death penalty, and Finn’s news that Sheila was released due to lack of evidence will infuriate her.
Finn suggests that maybe his mom’s not guilty, which causes Steffy to lose her mind. Liam is subtly trying to weaken Steffy’s marriage to Finn, while external pressures like the upcoming Monte Carlo trip add to the chaos. Steffy is dealing with Hope trying to steal her man out of spite, Sheila being free, and Finn’s relief about his mom’s release.
Liam hopes Finn’s choice of Steffy and the kids over Sheila sticks this time, but he’s not genuinely hoping for that. Sheila was set up, and the real killer’s motive is tied to Poppy and Luna. Lee Finnegan and Jack Finnegan may be involved in framing Sheila, and this storyline could lead to some characters leaving the show or going to jail.
The important thing this week is Steffy’s reaction to Finn being pleased that his mom is not being arrested for the murders. Steffy wants Finn to hate his birth mother, but he simply doesn’t. This whole Sheila situation may push Steffy too far, with Liam and Hope waiting in the wings, creating a recipe for disaster.
Will Steffy make it to Monte Carlo for the Brooks Bedroom relaunch, or will she be turned away due to passport issues? Whether she makes it or not, it’s a rough few days for Steffy. Sheila is free, Finn is happy about it, and Liam is trying to weaken her marriage. Steffy Forrester may go nuclear soon.
