B&B Fans in Uproar: Bring This Taylor Hayes Back Before It’s Too Late!

Viewers have seen quite a few actresses play Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful. Naturally, fans often have their own personal favorite. Recently, many fans have taken to social media sharing that they miss one “Taylor” in particular and are asking why she left the show.
Taylor Hayes Was Introduced To The Bold And The Beautiful In 1990
On the soap, Taylor Hayes was introduced in the 1990s. Early years portrayed her as a “no-nonsense” heroine, with many of her stories revolving around her love interest Ridge Forrester, effectively becoming a soap supercouple. Many of these stories also highlighted her rivalry with Brooke Logan.
Over the years, fans have seen different actresses bring the character to life. The character was originated by Hunter Tylo, who appeared as the character as late as 2019. In 2021, Krista Allen took over the role, with Rebecca Buding taking over in 2024. Actress Sherilyn Wolter also briefly played the role.

Fans have often debated which actress fit the character the best fit for the role. Even fans who didn’t like the character admit they could still like the actress.
Recently, one fan took to social media to ask, “Why was Krista Allen let go?” They continued, “She was the perfect Taylor recast, she strongly resembled Hunter Tylo and had chemistry with the entire cast.”
The fan felt that Allen “was a breath of fresh air and brought Taylor back to her youngers days.” They continued, “She had so much potential for love stories with characters other than Ridge such as Deacon, Bill, whom she both had chemistry with and it would have been interesting to see her version of Taylor with Nick.”
Even Fans Who Didn’t Mind The Current Taylor Still Missed Allen
The fan admitted they didn’t have an issue with Buding in the role. They admitted, “Rebecca Budig is fine but her Taylor is a lot more conservative and stiffer compared to KA’s. I just don’t understand why they would let an Emmy nominated actress who was nominated in her first year go.
“Every show should want their actors/actresses to succeed. And according to Krista, shortly after she got her Emmy nomination they stopped writing for her and eventually terminated her contract and told her Taylor ‘wasn’t needed’ even though they recast the character less than a year later, and with the current actress being on contract.

‘It was super fun interacting with Krista on Twitter, she genuinely loved her fans. Any guesses as to why they let her go?”
Other fans were similarly confused over why Taylor was recast. As one fan noted, “Krista basically said that after she got nominated for her Emmy, she was blindsided when they didn’t renew her contract. Then later, they asked her to be recurring and she said no.”
“The show was vague about what happened, just saying they offered her recurring, whereas she was specific, so I’m inclined to believe her. Not to mention, Rena basically said the same thing.”
At the time of her dismissal, Allen spoke with Deadline over the news and admitted, “The craziest thing is right before I got dropped, I did the cast photo shoot, and then the next week they called and said, ‘we’re not going to keep your third year and thank you very much, you were wonderful and thank you, goodbye. And I was like, what?”
Krista Allen Also Spoke About Her Dismissal In 2023
“I think the hardest thing for me has been trying to stay quiet. I haven’t known what to say. And then when I got dropped, I was like, ‘oh, okay, is the show going to announce this?’ But they never did. And then on December 10, just recently, it was Taylor’s two-year anniversary [of being back on show].
“I came back to Twitter for the first time since June to engage with fans again, just to say thank you because there were so many congratulations and people saying, ‘I can’t wait to see you back on screen’ and ‘when are you coming back?’”

In the comments, fans also discussed why they thought Allen was a good fit for the role. A few even suggested the writers were worried she’d even outshine the other characters. Some comments included:
- “I really liked Krista’s take on the character. It was not the same Taylor for sure. She was a lot more fun and relatable.”
- “I wish they’d bring her back. I really enjoyed her.”
- “KA was a fabulous Taylor. Her clothes were amazing. In my opinion she is the best Taylor.”
- “I think everyone liked KA and she was very good as Taylor. I get the feeling that Bell was worried that she was too good, that it would make the Brooke character seem like the bad guy. He is obsessed with the Brooke character and she always wins. It would be difficult with a Taylor that everyone likes and can make the character seem like a strong woman.”
