I believe Poppy knows something but isn’t the killer. She just doesn’t have the guts. But you know who could easily be doing all this without suspicion? Bill. Maybe Bill already knows the truth and wants to protect his and Luna’s happiness. When he found out Tom was blackmailing Poppy, he could have taken matters into his own hands. But then Paul found out, and Bill couldn’t let anyone else know that Luna was not his daughter. Thus, Paul could have been collateral damage.

Tom’s murder is attracting a lot of unwanted attention to Poppy and Luna. Detective Baker is on the case and is likely to find a connection between Tom and Poppy. There’s a chance Tom left evidence proving he is Luna’s biological father, which would blow the lid off Poppy’s secrets. Poppy always said Luna could be Bill’s daughter, never certainly. Bill might have decided that his child would be his daughter, tampering with the results to move on until Tom showed up and ruined his plans.

The mystery about Poppy remains. Why is she always crying? It doesn’t seem like she misses Tom. Maybe she feels guilty or is involved in something darker.
