Hope is comforted by Finn after rejecting Thomas yet again. We open with Thomas wondering if Hope will be his wife. She does the familiar dance of expressing her feelings but ultimately tells him she’s not ready to marry him. Acknowledging this, Thomas tells Hope he’s moved on with Paris, admitting his heart is whole and he now loves Paris. He reassures Hope that they will always be connected through Douglas, but he has found his person in Paris and believes she will also find hers.
Paris is still in shock over Thomas asking Eric if they can get married at the estate. When Brooke inquires about the wedding date, Paris admits she’s not sure but hopes it will be soon. She is excited to be Thomas’s wife, and Rich notes there is much to celebrate. They discuss Hope’s residual feelings for Thomas. Paris decides to locate her future husband, Thomas.
Finn, meanwhile, is visited by his mother, Lee, who assumed he would be with the family. Finn explains he had to scrub in for an emergency and is on call. Lee understands his schedule but emphasizes the importance of spending time with his wife and children. She warns Finn about Sheila, his biological mother, who is a threat to his family and society. Lee advises Finn to prioritize his wife and children and to cut Sheila out of his life. Finn promises he has done so and is serious this time.
Lee asks Finn about Hope’s influence on him and mentions the impact of attending Sheila and Deacon’s wedding. Finn regrets staying at the wedding, noting it was disrespectful to Steffy. Lee urges him to stay away from both Hope and Sheila. Ridge and Brooke discuss Hope turning down Thomas’s proposal, noting that Thomas’s relationship with Paris seems like a rebound, but they both agree Paris is fantastic.
Paris meets Thomas again and is thrilled about getting married at the estate. Thomas reassures her that she is the only one he cares about. Meanwhile, Hope, at Forrester Creations, is approached by Finn, who senses something is up. Hope admits she’s still dealing with her divorce and focusing on her kids. Finn acknowledges her struggles and reassures her that Thomas was never good enough for her. He believes she will find someone who will steal her heart.
