Lydia Plath & Zac Wyse Recently Appeared On Jinger & Jeremy Vuoloâs Podcast
Lydia is one of the Plath children, who rose to prominence with the TLC series, Welcome to Plathville. Earlier this year, Lydia married Zac Wyse after a short engagement.
Since then, Lydia and Zac have been sharing their story, both on the show and with other outlets. Recently, the two appeared on Jinger & Jeremy Vuoloâs podcast series, where they opened up about their relationship and their past.

At one point during the conversation, Zac mused that his family âjust talk stuff outâ and were âvery emotionally inclined towards one another.â Lydia herself added, âThat was one of the first, like, eye-opening, shocking things about his family,â touching on how they talk about things.
Lydia noted, âMy familyâs not like that. And I think a huge reason I think like whatâs at the root of that is we had a sibling pass at 17 months when I was 4 years old and it was in the hands of my mom.â
As Welcome to Plathville fans know, the youngest of the Plath children, Joshua Plath, passed away in a farming accident in 2008. He was a little over a year old at the time of his death.
Over the years, the other members of the Plath family have touched on Joshuaâs memory, usually on his birthday. As previously reported, Moriah, for example, paid tribute to her brother online in a social media post around the time of his 15th birthday.
The Welcome To Plathville Star Commented On Why The Family Didnât Talk About The Tragedy Over The Years
Lydia continued, âIt was a very tragic accident and because it affected her so much, we couldnât talk about it. And, so, like the deepest hardest thing that happened in our childhood, we couldnât talk about around her.â
âSo, we just didnât talk about it. And because we didnât talk about the hardest thing in our life, we just didnât talk about the deep things.â

Lydia continued the conversation, sharing that she also had to deal with serving as a substitute mother to her siblings at the age of 17 when their mother left. Taking on this responsibility while both working and attending school, she shared, âSo, I was just doing what I could to survive to of course I was thriving.â
A Few Fans Also Commented On How Zac Seems To Be An Influence On Lydia
On social media, fans shared their own emotional reactions to the share. One fan noted, âSeeing her mention that because of their brotherâs death when they were young and how they couldnât talk about that which caused them all not to be able to talk about most deep things is eye opening but also predictable to say at the very least.â
The fan, however, found some comfort in how Zac was helping Lydia process her emotions. They also noted, âI was so happy to see Lydia finally have the space to connect back with her emotions. It seems like she was on autopilot all her life before.. now she finally has space to breathe and not look after a whole family.â
Taking to the comments, a few other fans also shared similar sentiments. In particular, they felt that Lydiaâs marriage to Zac has had a positive effect on her. Others commented on processing grief. Some comments included:
- âThis makes me so happy, I think Zach gets too much hate.â
- âIâm glad they got beyond the giggly laughing uncomfortable stage.â
- âThis is actually so sweet and so HEALTHY. He must have a VERY healthy family.â
- âShe seems completely different. Her voice sounds different. I could warm up to this Lydia. She needs to stop singing though. Itâs getting in the way.â
- âShe no longer has to carry all that weight on her shoulders, and can blossom into who she wants to be, idf she even really knows. I hope he continues to encourage her growth.â
- âThat helps me understand them moreâŚI can empathize with that and nothing else. Still canât stand them.â
