In the teaser for the newest episode of Welcome to Plathville, Ethan Plath doesn’t mince words about his family. Specifically, he didn’t hold his tongue while talking about his mother, Kim Plath, deciding to begin dating again.

Ethan Reflects On His Parents Getting A Divorce

In a teaser clip on TLC’s Instagram for the new episode of Welcome to Plathville on Tuesday, November 14, Ethan Plath tells his brother Micah Plath that he believes Barry Plath has handled the divorce well. While Micah says he knows the separation must be very hard, he seems to be proud of his father for his decisions in coping. Likewise, Ethan praised Barry for not turning to alcohol. Instead, he noted Barry focuses on strengthening himself at the gym to get rid of frustration.

Notably, Ethan Plath also credits Barry for being a stable place for his younger siblings through everything. Given that Barry has been taking over a large part of the raising of the children with the transition with Kim Plath. Additionally, Ethan reflects and says about Barry, “I don’t know how he could have done it any better.”.

Ethan Plath Doesn’t Hold Back About Kim Plath

However, when Welcome to Plathville star, Ethan Plath, segways to the topic of Kim Plath, he isn’t nearly as kind. Unquestionably, he doesn’t feel like Kim has handled the separation as well. And it seems he places the blame on her for the situation almost entirely. Moreover, he explains, “Another blow to dad with the divorce is the way mom’s gone about it.” At this point, he is referring to her relationship with her boyfriend, Ken Palmer. Markedly, he feels very strongly about her choice, saying, “To see other people while you’re still married, I don’t know where you stand on that, but I think is very wrong.”

Additionally, Ethan Plath continues, “As far as I see it, when the divorce papers’ signed and you’re officially legally divorced, no longer with that person, the next minute, if there’s been somebody you’ve been dying to be with, that’s your decision.” Ethan elaborates, “I just think it’s wrong to start a relationship with someone when you’re still finalizing the divorce with the person that you’re still married to.”

Ethan Plath Puts Himself In Barry’s Place

Compared to his relationship, Ethan Plath puts himself in his dad’s position. He expresses to Micah, that he would be livid if Olivia Plath did that. Unknowingly, speaking of his now estranged wife, Ethan would be very mad if Olivia was dating before finalizing a divorce. Notably, this episode was filmed before Ethan and Olivia’s announcement that they had called it quits on October 27.

Olivia Plath Announces She And Ethan Plath Are Going Different Ways

In October, in an Instagram message about Ethan Plath, Olivia Plath sent out a statement. Olivia said, “Ethan and I have decided to go our separate ways.” She continues, “I have ambivalent memories of us being 18 years old, innocently dreaming of forever.” She goes on, “But the partner you choose is a reflection of the world you want to live in, and at 18 I didn’t know who I was or what kind of life I wanted to create for myself.” Continuing, “7 years later, I’ve already begun my journey of questioning, deconstructing, and rebuilding.” She states, “And I know that is a process that I will continue to prioritize throughout my life.”
